The characteristics of chlorinated fiber fabric

Update:18 Nov
Chlorine fiber is one of the earliest synthetic fibers in the world. It has many advantages such as water resistance, chemical resistance, corrosion resistance and non-combustibility. Therefore, it has achieved great success in clothing, especially in interior decoration applications. The main features of the fabric are as follows:

1. Chlorine fiber fabric is a non-flammable fabric, it will be extinguished immediately after leaving the flame and will not continue to burn. It is a good non-combustible curtain and carpet material.

2. Chloride fabric not only has good abrasion resistance but also has good warmth retention. Its warmth retention is better than cotton and wool, which are 50% and 10-20% higher respectively.

3. Chlorine fiber fabric has good electrostatic insulation, which can be blended with other fibers to make underwear with the effect of curing rheumatism. The reason is that when it rubs against other fibers, it often carries a negative charge.

4. The shortcoming of polyvinyl chloride fabric is that the softening point is very low, usually, when the temperature reaches 60~70℃, it starts to soften and shrink. Therefore, you should be careful when washing and ironing, and try not to woven fabrics.

Varieties of polyvinyl chloride fiber fabrics

Chlorine fiber fabrics are not heat resistant and limit their application range, and they are mostly used in decorative and industrial fabrics. There are not many varieties of chlorinated fiber fabrics used in clothing, mainly including chlorine/top velvet, sticky/chlorine flannel, and chlorine/funding cloth.

1. Chlorine/top velvet woven with wool that shrinks and does not shrink under heat, and makes the wool protrude out of the surface to get striped lattice velvet. This kind of fabric has a soft hand feeling and a beautiful appearance. It is an excellent material for curtains, curtains, and other decorative objects. It can also be used as a fabric for evening dresses.

2. Viscose/Chlorine Flannel Fabric is blended with 70% viscose and 30% polychloride into yarn. The woven flannel has the characteristics of being resistant to heat and not easy to burn. It can be used as interior decoration fabric and underwear for the elderly and children.

3. Chlorine/fusing cloth: Chlorine fiber and rich fiber are blended and processed in a ratio of 1:1. Its fabric performance is very similar to that of viscose/chlorine flannel, and it can be used as a furniture cover.
